Where to go and what to do that's free (or almost) in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast….and who better to advise you than someone who lives here and writes about travel on a daily basis. When Choice Books (a division of the Australian Consumer Association) asked Lee to write the third in its “Free and Low-cost” series, she was delighted. An experienced traveller, and with two young children, Lee knew how to find the best places to go to stretch the budget. Riding a historic tram or steam train, visiting a castle or maze, the markets, the beach….Lee hunted out the fun and unusual and created a book to entertain, engage and inspire all ages, year round. Free and Low-cost Brisbane and the Coasts was published by Choice Books in March 2001. It was number 4 on the Mary Ryan Bookshop bestseller list in April 2001 and stayed in the Top 10 for three months.
